The UK Government has announced an increase to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), giving eligible homeowners even more financial support towards the cost of installation. From 21 July 2026, qualifying households replacing an oil or LPG heating system can now receive £9,000 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme—an increase of £1,500 from the previous grant of £7,500. This update is intended to make renewable heating more affordable and encourage more households to move away from fossil fuel heating.
